Tewhatewha (tefa-tefa) is a traditional weapon used in combat and also more importantly to lead others into battle.
The broad axe like head of the tewhatewha is used by rangatira to direct and signal others during the fight.
Whilst we no longer require the real weapon to strike opponents down. We are still fighting to lead and guide people by preserving our traditions in the modern world.
Designed and made in Tauranga Moana
Measurement: 9.5cm approx from top of hook to bottom of earring
Material: Acrylic and wood for the rakau version.
